Economic Development Officer ~ Municipality of Huron East

Jan has long been an innovator and a "connector"— an idea person, who pulls together the right team to achieve success. After a long career in the public sector, she entered the public service via Huron County's Community Futures Development Corporation, and is currently the Economic Development Officer for the Municipality of Huron East. Keenly interested in heritage conservation and port development, Jan co-founded the Marine Heritage Committee of the Town of Goderich in 1998, has co-edited a port promotion publication, and written articles for various marine magazines. Her achievements in Huron East over the last severn years have included revitalization of the historic business districts in the communities of Seaforth, and Brussels, in addition to launching various award-winning downtown marketing initiatives. She is presently working with the Village of Vanastra Revival Team to breath new life into the former Royal Canadian Air Force Base located south of Clinton. Jan has capably demonstrated that heritage preservation and economic development is definitely good for business.
