Paul Nichol

Economic Development Manager of Huron Community Futures Corporation

Since 1993, Paul has managed the Huron Business Development Corporation, a private, not-for-profit economic development agency with a mandate to help entrepreneurs make good things happen in Huron County. Over the span of the last 20 years, the HBDC and its partners have been the recipients of 27 national, provincial and regional awards for their efforts to grow the local economy.

Paul believes in giving back to his community, and has served as a volunteer on many local boards, including the Blyth Festival and the Huron Historical Society. Currently, he serves on the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (Seaforth), the Edge Renewal Fund (Goderich), the Huron Food Action Network (Clinton) and the Research Advisory Committee of the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (Guelph). Paul is also a proud member of the Brussels Lions Club and an Official Advisor to the Brussels Leos, providing young people with the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills through service in their community and around the world.
