Recycling/Waste Mangement

The Municipality of Huron East is please to announce that effective May 4, 2018, all waste and recycling services will be offered by the Municipality through its service providers, Waste Management and Bluewater Recycling Association. These changes are occuring as a result of the Mid-Huron Landfill Site closure and the municipality's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced services to its citizens.

  8. New residents are welcome to a new BlueBox free of charge, from the Huron East Town Hall at 72 Main Street South, Seaforth. Residents may purchase additional BlueBoxes at Huron East Town Hall for $8.00 each. Damaged BlueBoxes can be exchanged free of charge.

Residents should note that effective July 1, 2018, reduced hours and days of operations at the Mid-Huron Landfill Site will come into effect. The site will operate as a transfer site for recyclables, recoverables and for waste materials that can be unloaded manually.

Bluewater Recycling Association is also accepting e-waste at its location in Huron Park.
