Municipality of Huron East Summer Day Camp registration is now open!

Summer Day Camp is now available at both the Vanastra Recreation Centre and the Brussels, Morris, and Grey Community Centre with bus trips, special guests and theme weeks for each location.

Due to high water demands on our system during the summer months (May 1 - October 31), and in an effort to promote good water conservation practices, we request all residents in the communities of Brucefield, Brussels, Egmondville, Seaforth and Vanastra to refrain from excessive outdoor water usage (watering of lawns, washing vehicles, filling of pools etc.)

We also request that outdoor watering take place as follows:

- EVEN numbered houses; water on EVEN numbered days

- ODD numbered houses; water...

Huron East Spring Hydrant Flushing Schedule:

Vanastra 
April 8th - 12th

Brussels & Brucefield
April 15th - 26th

Seaforth & Egmondville
April 29th - May 17th

You may experience low water pressure and/or brownish water as a result of hydrant flushing. The water pressure will return to normal within a short time, as soon as we have finished flushing in your area. Run your cold water taps until the brownish colour is gone and the water runs clear.

Reconstruction of Sports Drive, Brussels

The Municipality of Huron East will be reconstructing Sports Drive in Brussels, in the Spring/Summer of this year (2024).

Construction will involve watermain and storm sewer replacement, new curbs, sidewalks and asphalt on Sports Drive from Turnberry Street to Flora Street.  New sidewalk will be placed on the west side of Sports Drive for the entire length.
