Heat Warning Advisory: Cooling Relief Available in Huron East

Huron East, Ontario – June 19, 2024:

With temperatures soaring, the Municipality of Huron East is taking proactive steps to ensure residents have access to cooling relief. Several facilities are available for public use during regular operating hours to provide a cool respite.

Residents are welcome to visit the following locations to cool off:

Seaforth:

• Seaforth Library
• Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 1:00 – 8:00 p.m.
• Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Seaforth Town Hall
• Wednesday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Vanastra:

• Vanastra Recreation Centre
• Swim Schedule:
• Wednesday:
• Early Bird: 7:00 – 8:00 a.m.
• Adult Swim: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
• Family Swim: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• Thursday:
• Adult Swim: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
• Rec Swim: 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
• Friday:
• Early Bird: 7:00 – 8:00 a.m.
• Adult Swim: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
• Rec Swim: 4:00 – 6:00 pm *added swim due to heat warning
• Saturday & Sunday:
• Rec Swim: 1:30 – 3:30 pm

• Thursday: Auditorium open 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
