The Municipality of Huron East provides water and wastewater services to residents in Brussels, Egmondville, Seaforth and Vanastra. Municipal water services are also provided in Brucefield. Huron East residents in Molesworth are supplied with municipal water from our neighbour municipality, North Perth. Huron East residents in Vanastra are supplied with municipal water from our neighbour Central Huron.

If you are doing work inside your home and need the water to be shut off, please complete a Water Shut-off Request Form.
Due to high water demands on our system during the summer months (May 1st - October 31st), and in an effort to promote good water conservation practices, we request all residents in the communities of Brucefield, Brussels, Egmondville, Seaforth and Vanastra to refrain from excessive outdoor water usage (watering of lawns, washing vehicles, filling of pools etc.)

The Municipality of Huron East is committed to meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements in order to supply safe clean drinking water to all of our consumers. Huron East will also maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System.
If you have a private water well, it is your responsibility as the home owner to ensure the water is safe to consume or meets Provincial Standards. Sampling bottles are available at the Municipal Office.
The Huron Clean Water Project (HCWP) provides financial and technical assistance to county residents to improve and protect water quality. The project is funded by the County of Huron and delivered by the Maitland and Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authorities. Funding assistance covers up to 50% of the costs of eligible projects and can be combined with other cost-share programs, where available.

Storm sewers collect rain and run-off from melting snow on your property to help prevent flooding. To assist the Municipality of Huron East in ensuring storm sewers do not get blocked, please do not deposit debris or rake leaves onto the roadway.
