MPP Lisa Thompson to Recognize New Junior Lifeguard Club Program for Youth

MPP Lisa Thompson to recognize new Junior Lifeguard Club program for youth. 

WHAT                 

On Friday May 10^th at 4:00 pm, Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson will be at the Vanastra Recreation Centre to recognize the Junior Lifeguard Club program for youths ages 10-14.  This new program promotes lifesaving knowledge, leadership, teamwork, competition and fitness. It also aims to create long term interest in aquatic leadership to address the need for more certified lifeguards.

MPP Lisa Thompson and Emma Bartz, an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer, will attend to observer the new program as a result of receiving a grant from the Foundation.

Bernie MacLellan, Mayor of Huron East will be talking about the new program and its expected impact in the community.
