TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Municipality of Huron East will hold a Public Meeting under Sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act to consult with the public about a Housekeeping Amendment to the Huron East Official Plan.
PUBLIC MEETING will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 at the Seaforth & District Arena and Community Centre, 122 Duke Street, Seaforth
ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation.
PURPOSE AND EFFECT The purpose of the municipally initiated Housekeeping Amendment to the Huron East Official Plan is to update policies to provide clarification on Minimum Distance Separation policies for livestock barns, amend the servicing policies for Garden Suites, update a medium residential development policy, and amend the land use designation for 3 specific properties in Cranbrook.
A summary of the proposed policy changes for the Huron East Official Plan Amendment are:
The text amendment applies to all the lands within the Municipality of Huron East.
Changes to the Schedule B Land Use map for the following properties in Cranbrook:
A copy of the draft changes may be accessed here or at the Huron East Municipal Office (72 Main Street, Seaforth), Monday to Friday, 8:30am- 4:30pm.
IF you wish to be notified of the decision of the Municipality on the proposed Amendments, you must make a written request to 72 Main Street, Seaforth ON N0K 1W0
IF a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Huron East before the by-laws are passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Municipality of Huron East to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
IF a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Huron East before the by-law is passed the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal there are reasonable grounds to do so.
