Back to SearchEffective February 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.—The Municipality of Huron East has declared a significant weather event under O. Reg. 239/02: Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways due to current and forecasted conditions. This declaration will remain in effect until further notice.
During this event, municipal roads and sidewalks are considered to be in a state of repair. Anyone using Huron East roads is advised to avoid unnecessary travel and use caution if doing so.
This declaration of a significant weather event is not notice of road closures. It is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions, extreme caution is to be observed when travelling on roads owned and maintained by the Municipality of Huron East. Roads Department staff continue to perform winter maintenance. However, current conditions warrant caution and users are reminded that it may take longer than usual to bring roads and sidewalks back normal conditions.
